AECM
AECM, founded in 1992, is an International Non
Profit Association and it operates as an open,
democratic organisation, independent of any
political or financial group. AECM is now
representing 34 companies or federations that
operate as networks of guarantee societies in 18 countries of the European Economic Area.
According to the Association statutes, the main
objectives are:
To represent the common interests of the members
To consolidate and develop the role of Mutual
Guarantees as a special instrument for enhancing
SME's.
To promote the harmonization of the legal framework
and to improve the financial operating conditions of
the Guarantee Societies.
To foment the exchange of information between
members
To suggest ideas, proposals to the diverse parties
involved in economic policies, including the
European Union.
At present, member companies or federations of AECM
represent 40 billion Euro capacity of guarantee
capital based on 4 Euro billion capital.
